This is just a post wishing everyone a happy 4th of July, and a happy Indepedence day too! I hope you enjoy the fireworks and have a great day. :)
P.S. I was wishing I could add a picture of fireworks, but my computer isn't in my favor today, I guess..

End of School Year!!!
For me, today was the last day of the school. It's also pretty big for us 6th graders, because it is our last school year in elementary school. There was lots of crying, and I already miss a lot of people. Because my school isn't my home school(my home school, Panther Lake, doesn't have hi-cap, the program I am in); there is a lot of people who are going to a different middle school. The main middle school for my school, Meridian Elementary, is Mattson middle school. I am going to Mill Creek middle school, in the Tech Academy. It is a program where you get your middle school computers early and almost all of your assignments are on the computers. It's really cool... :)
Also, today there is a really cool google logo for the first day of Summer! Even without animation, it is one of my favorites..but I am having a hard time finding a picture, so I'll just let you see it yourself...

Bleh.
There's really not much happening in my life these days, so I'm not really sure what to post about. The only interesting thing happening is tomorrow, when my class and the other 6th grade classes are going on a field trip to a Rainer's game. It's too bad that whenever we go, they lose. And last time I went my friends spent half of their time waiting for ice cream and I spent half of my time waiting for nachos. So, yea, I hope this year has a better outcome. :)
But as I said, I may not be posting as much these days....

New Look!
I had gotten bored of my old blog look, so I decided to change it. :) I chose to make the blog blue and turquoise. I think it looks really cool! What do you think? :)
P.s: I don't know why, but I am following my own blog. :( Does anybody know how to unfollow a blog???

Hello...again.
It's been a long while ever since I posted, sorry. I had spring break, so I had a lot of fun.:) I went to this camp, and had to do a fashion show, which was ok. But the dress I was wearing was a sari, which is really very hard to travel in. I decided to post today after seeing the google logo. Today is the anniversary of the first man going to space. That man's name was Yuri Gagarin, and he is being recognized a lot today. Google even created a logo today! I realized the last 2 posts were also about google logos, but oh well....I really like them. :)
This is the logo! Cool right? In the actual website, the rocket on the planet launches off. |

Google Logo
Sorry I couldn't post April Fools day...I went to a state science fair. And got another first place ribbon with a trophy! :)
Also, today the Google logo is changed for the 119th anniversary of the first documented ice cream sundae. I'm not sure why they did it just for the ice cream sundae, but the logo looks pretty cool! Here it is:

Finally the end of March!
I have been waiting for March to end for a long time...this month has just bored me. :) But I am excited that flowers are now blooming and that April is here tomorrow! And, also, the Google logo has changed for Robert Bunsen's 200th birthday! Obviously, he is still not alive, but Google paid tribute to him by making this cool logo(on the actual Google website, it's animated!):

Energy Drinks
Even though I just posted yesterday, I felt like posting today too. This is a nutrition post, about...energy drinks! Almost everybody loves Coke and/or Powerade, but they are not too healthy! In one can of 12 oz. Coke, there is 10 teaspoons of sugar! That's like 20 sugar cubes! And that is definitely not healthy for anybody.
And Powerade is made of sugar syrups and salt, like Gatorade. So even though, sometimes, whether if these beverages or any other energy drinks may tempt you, stay away from them. But if you haven't had a Coke or other energy drink in a really long time or are about to exercise a bunch, then I guess it is fine... :)

Science Fair/Vegas Pictures
Sorry I haven't posted in a while...but I was doing something. I had my science fair in school (Meridian Elementary). My project was about Stealth, a technology used to make airplanes invisible on a radar. It was called Stealthy Shapes, and I did it with a partner. And we won! For sixth grade engineering. :)
By the way, in December, I went to Las Vegas with my family and friends. I was looking through the pictures, and found some cool ones....

Rango
Today I watched Rango, a movie about a lizard who's life changes when he gets thrown over a car and out of his 'cage', in the desert. The lizard is voiced by Johnny Depp. In the first part of the movie, the lizard doesn't even know his name, but makes his up by looking at a bottle of cactus juice. :) This movie is very funny, and has a good theme to the story. The only thing I didn't like about it was that sometimes the animations of animals where quite 'creepy'. But otherwise, this is still a good movie and I would recommend watching it.

It's Snowing!
Finally, it is snowing again! I thought last time it snowed would be the only snow this winter. Everything is covered in white, and it is so beautiful! School was canceled for me today, so I am resting at home ( but of course, I still have homework to do). I am trying to carve some time out to go and play, but I am not so sure I can. I know it is snowing in a lot of other places in Washington to. Like Seattle, Kent, Redmond, and a lot more places I can't remember. Is anybody else enjoying the snow while it lasts?

Pretty Posts
I am sad to say life hasn't been as exciting these days, so I may not be blogging as much, but I certainly will be reading others' blogs.
Anyways, when I looked at Maya and Priya's blogs today, I saw they both had some very pretty things posted on their blogs. Priya has pretty new book covers, and Maya has some beautiful clips of Paris, London, Beijing, and Barcelona. Here is a link to Priya's blog, and here is a link to Maya's blog. Enjoy! :)

Sorry/Reflections
I am again soooo sorry that I haven't been posting. I have had a bad cold/fever and haven't been able to post. But anyways, I will try to be posting every week from now. If not, every other week. It's just that school has also been getting the way with homework and projects and stuff.
Well, enough excuses from me, now I would like to tell you about what has happened ever since. If you look back some posts, I told you about that Reflections program from the PTSA. I submitted a writing piece into it. From my school, I and then 1st place in district( as in Kent School District), and now my writing is going through state(Washington, of course) level! :) So if my project gets judged through state and(which is really hard) then it will go onto the Reflections website for Washington and then go into the National level. After that, I don't really know what would happen. I think the people who win National would be like ultimate winners.
P.S : Speaking of winners, I am not sure many people who read my blog care about this, but the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl ! *throws confetti*

Hello... I am back!
Sorry I didn't post in so long... I had a book report. Anyway, I will try to catch up posting. About my book report, I read The Looking Glass Wars, it is a really great book, and I would definitely recommend it. :) Anyways, I hope everyone had great weekend! And a great Martin Luther King Jr. Day too! He is a truly inspiring man. I also saw that a lot of people, like Priya and Maya, had their finals. I didn't and I am glad to still be in elementary school. I enjoying my last year of recesses. High school sounds really difficult. Hehe... Anyways, again, I am sorry for not posting. :)

Settling In...
As the New Years starts to sink in, I am also starting to settle in. School has started for me-which means more projects and homework, and less sleeping and relaxing. And it also means, as Adora told me, to write 1/8/11 instead of 1/8/10. The parties and celebrations are all ending too, which means sleeping early and waking up early...which I actually have trouble with. So, just as the New Years celebration time starts getting old, and school starts getting in, a lot of changes are coming...*sigh* -_-.

New Years Resolutions
As New Years comes, a lot of people make New Years resolutions. I have tried to, but I never get the time. After all of the New Years parties and celebrations, the thought just kind of wears off. When I was in first or second grade( I am in sixth grade now), my teacher made the whole class sit down the day we got back from winter break and right down resolutions. But now, most teachers don't even ask about resolutions. I wrote down some resolutions for this year, but they are pretty frequent goals, like getting good grades. The thing about resolutions is, they always are the same very year. Like goals, almost. You could say 'I want to eat healthy' every year. But still...I think resolutions are a good way to start the New Years.
P.S. : I can't believe I could write such a long post just about resolutions. hehe. :)
